Every Christian woman needs to know on a deeper level, her identity in Christ. There are hundreds of Bible verses that talk about our identity in Christ. I have chosen 30 of them to spend the next 30 days reading, meditating, praying and journaling with. I have a free printable that includes 30 Bible verses on who you are in Christ, a print that you can frame to remind you that you are a New Creation in Christ 2 Corinthians 5:17, journal cards and a journal page with prompts to help you during your own devotional time.

You can download these goodies to your phone or print out. Did you know that there is a brilliant app called Books on the iPhone? It is awesome! You can download this PDF and open it up in Books and then you have text boxes that allow you to write on the journal page. Another app you can use is called Adobe Fill & Sign - this one is suitable for the iPhone and Android phones. Download the PDF to your phone. You may need to select PDF again in your settings on the download before you can place it in your app and then you have easy access to read or edit it at any time. It means that you can have your devotional time anytime and anywhere! You may know about these apps already - I'm a little slow with all the technology available! You can download these goodies from the Resource Library that you will find HERE.

What is our identity in Christ?

How would you describe yourself?

Would you mention race, religion, or cultural background? Though out this selection of Bible verses that we will be looking at, you will discover that none of those apply anymore. Our identity is no longer determined by our physical heritage, social standing or racial distinctions. Our identity lies in the fact that we are all children of God and we are in Christ.

The most important belief that you and I can possess is a true knowledge of who God is. The second most important belief is who we are as children of God. We need to learn to see ourselves as God sees us and not how the world might see us. We need to know who God says we are. Scripture is full of God's truth and the perfect mirror to see ourselves in.

Don't let the world define who you are. Let God define you. He has good plans and a purpose for you, that only you can live out. You are unique and God has a unique plan that only you can fulfill. What gift or blessing has God gifted you with, so that you can bring joy and hope to this world that we live in?

You need to know on a deep level who you are in Christ so that you can live your life as God intended!

Let's talk about how to benefit from this list of scriptures:

I find that writing them out, allows you time to learn them and think on them more deeply. I have some pretty journal cards and stationary with prompts to help you during your devotional time. It should take about 10 minutes to write each verse but spend as much time as you have, sitting in God's presence and listening for His Holy Spirit speaking to your heart, instructing and guiding you.

Copying scripture and carrying it with us throughout the day, reading it and memorizing it, makes God's word a part of us. It renews your mind and calms your anxious heart.

Take Action :

  1. Download the scripture verse list, journal paper and the pretty Bible verse print HERE.

  2. Find a quiet place with your cup of coffee, Bible and a favorite pen.

  3. Pray as you write your scripture verse for that day.

  4. Ask God to reveal Himself to you and listen for the Holy Spirit to speak to you.

  5. If you feel convicted of something- confess it and ask for forgiveness.

  6. If you feel moved to worship - worship God! Just enjoy His presence.

  7. Most important : make an appointment with yourself, journal and God everyday for your scripture writing time. I find it works best for me to do it in the morning. It helps me to gain ' God's perspective' on my day. But you do it in your own perfect time. The important thing to remember is to do it and if you miss a day - just double up the next one!

We will be using these bible verses in the month of July as our daily devotionals in our Restoring Beauty For Ashes Facebook Group. Come join us there!
