Welcome to Day 8. for one of our short powerful devotions from the 30 Bible Verses About God's Amazing Grace, bible reading plan. This short devotional is based on Titus 3:4-7.
Read Titus 3:4-7.
What does Titus 3:4-7 mean?
Titus was a young minister who followed the Apostle Paul's leadership. He was in charge of a church in Crete. It seems that the people in the church were getting lost in their walk as disciples of Christ. They needed much instruction and correction. To encourage Titus, Paul wrote this letter which addresses several subjects. In Titus chapter 3 Paul is giving instruction on godly living and encouraging the people to have a healthy attitude toward the people in a leadership position in their church and in their place of work.
He then reminds the believers in Crete that it was the goodness and loving-kindness of God that had redeemed them from their sinful lives. It was God's mercy and grace poured out on them that made them brand new.
Justified By Grace: Short Devotional
You and I have been made brand new in Christ. We are so loved that God made a way to redeem us from our sins through His Son, Jesus, dying on the cross. When God revealed His love and kindness to us by sending Jesus to save us, it wasn't because of anything that we had done to make ourselves righteous but it was because of His mercy. Jesus' blood, washed our sins away giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
There is nothing that we can do to assist in God's transforming work in our life, except by allowing Him to teach us His ways and to grow in grace through reading and praying our way through the Bible and being in God's presence.
Have you read yesterday's devotional yet? We talked all about how to grow in God's grace.
Maturing in our Christian life is not about what we do, but about what God does in us, by His grace. It is quite an exciting thought to think that the more time we are in God's presence, we are being changed from glory to glory!
The last thought that I want to leave with you for today is this, that it is because of God’s GRACE that He has declared us RIGHTEOUS and that automatically makes us an heir to all that God has for us. This truth should fill you with 'God-confidence' that we will inherit eternal life. That means we will live forevermore in God's presence.
What Grace!
Take time to reflect on what this means for you.

Titus 3:4-7.
Thank you Father for your unending love for me. Thank you for Your kindness and mercy in sending Jesus to take the place of my sin, so that I can live forever with You. This is beyond comprehension, so please help me to grasp how loved I am by you and that I really need Your grace. Give me the wisdom and strength to surrender my life to you and give me a deep yearning to seek Your presence and allow You to transform me from glory to glory. Thank you so much for adopting me as Your child. Amen.
